Development Management Development Plan (DPD)

Representation ID: 636

Received: 07/08/2010

Respondent: Herbert Grove Residents

Representation Summary:

An aging population in Southend and district has caused many more electric mobility vehicles to use the roads and pavement. The use of ornamental bricking on the paths in Southend High Street make using these vehicles very uncomfortable in some areas. The Council should consider this when selecting paving for pedestrian use.

Received: 09/08/2010

Respondent: Renaissance Southend Ltd

Representation Summary:

Unable to to submit comments on DM27 but would support intention to distinguish between CSAAP area and rest of Borough. May need to retain additional flexibility to respond to individual issues on major town centre sites and to take account of overall policy for town centre parking provision publicly available off street and on-street spaces.
