Whilst the preferred option for mixed use development is favourable to creating sustainable communities there is a demonstrable demand for housing/ affordable housing in the area and this may prove a more viable long term solution for the quarter. Need to recognise importance of Victorias to delivering high number of residential units, potential for increased high quality, high density, mixed tenure residential development and future exploitation of key strategic sites in the area including Carnarvon Road, Heath and Carby House.
